Big day ahead - up at 7am to hike to Bell Rock, stunning walk around the big butte, I cannot lie. Scenery gorgeous, walked about 4 mile then started to go steeper, got about 400 ft up, started to go vertical ( in my head ), hikers above told me to climb up on all fours, went to go, slipped in my tenni shoes, thought “nah” maybe not. So just hung on for death life to regain composure. Video called Liam to prove it haha.

Mel brought polystyrene cool box and sandwich stuff to try and rein spending ( and eating ) in a little, journey to Grand Canyon seemed to take an age for only 120 miles. Torrential weather again…thought it would be our luck to finally get to the Grand Canyon and not be able to see it for the mist. Needn’t have worried though the weather cleared when we arrived at the Bright Angel Lodge…another Mary Colter creation..lovely lodge, rustic and charming. Walked along the rim for a couple of miles and walked back under the stars. Photo do not do the Grand Canyon justice. Simply stunning and majestic.
