Hello, we’re Danny & Mel

We’re a couple from Scholar Green in Cheshire, and we’ve been together since 2009. Between us we have five grown-up children — and the moment the last one flew the nest, we looked at each other and thought: right, it’s our turn now.

So that’s exactly what we did.

A lifelong obsession

Danny has been hooked on travel since he was a boy — something about the idea of what lies beyond the horizon that never quite let go. Mel caught the bug somewhere along the way too, and now here we are, two passports and a long list of places we still want to see.

We came to long-haul travel later than some, but we don’t think that’s a bad thing. We appreciate it more for the wait. And we’ve got plenty of time to make up for.

Where we’ve been

So far our adventures have taken us to the sun-soaked islands of Kefalonia, the jaw-dropping landscapes of the USA — including the wide open spaces of Route 66, which left us both speechless — and the incredible chaos and beauty of Thailand. France has always had a special place in Danny’s heart too, a love that started long before Mel came along!
