Woke at 9am and headed for the free breakfast…including an omelette station! I love an omelette station - ticked every filling except for onion and went to toast my bread, 3 rounds and 3 revolutions of the toast machine, and still not dark enough. I will try 4 revs tomorrow. Mel had fried eggs. After that decided to bite the bullet and take sick note to the clinic to determine what the issue is as she still isn’t great. 7000 baht just to run a test - about £162 yikes. Checked all insurance and should be covered but there is £150 excess….told Mel to fill her boots and get all the drugs available and get hooked up to a drip for 5 hours - bill was 25000 baht - about £580 so hope we’re covered. Hopefully, she is coming round a bit after this, but all tests came back clear at least. I went for a walk and a couple of beers at the beach whilst she was hooked up and then had a chicken stir fry and a local restaurant with a Singha whilst monkeys played outside. Picked up the patient about 6pm who was starving so took her along the mangrove beach where it was now raining which came as a relief temperature wise. She had a stir fry rice dish to fill a gap and a Thai tea. We then headed down the main stretch and walked along Railay West beach in the moonlight - stunning area! And headed back for a couple of beers at a hippy bar with live music and played connect 4. I fancied a pizza as I saw a stone oven and they looked lovely so that’s what we did. A Diavola pizza for me and a margarita for our Melanie. Both were gorgeous if a little on the small side. Had a nightcap at Bang Bang bar - a very cute little bar next to our hotel - he recommended a coconut infused with Bacardi to ease her woes…I had a Long Island Ice Tea and then we went to beddy byes.
