6am start for the 8:30am flight to Bangkok from Krabi, flight on time for first time this holiday - weather again glorious! Arrived about 10am at hotel so dumped bags and went for a Thai tea for me and juice for Mel at a roadside joint. Went to use to pool at about 11am - what a gorgeous pool! Planes taking off right next to us, which was interesting to us plane geeks and Mel tried out the gym. Went for a roadside lunch about 12:45 - I had spicy beef and rice (wasn’t spicy) and Mel a chicken fried rice concoction. Was nice if a bit on the stingy side but at about £3 all in with water we can’t complain. Headed to 711 next to the hotel and picked up a 4 pack of Singha to consume during the afternoon pool session. Mel had a bottle of water. Spent a lovely afternoon sunbathing, swimming, drinking and plane spotting. Got dressed and went out early doors as another early start tomorrow. Headed for a local restaurant for a beer - found  Paulaner Dunkel on the menu but it was served actually semi frozen! And so was the glass! Mel’s also - how the hell can you get it wrong? We then went to the hotel rooftop bar at night which was a lovely spot with live music. The sunset was stunning again. I had a couple of Dunkels and Mel a couple of Leo’s. We shared a soup and spring roll starter and then a Pad Thai for me and fried rice dish for Mel….far too much for us both and the quality wasn’t great for the price and location. We were in bed by 9pm.
